This post contains spoilers for the Season 3 premiere of Euphoria. HBOs Euphoria made Angus Cloud a bona fide star before the actors untimely death from a drug overdose in 2023. For the first two seasons of the hit teen drama, Cloud played high school dropout and drug dealer Fezco, who got caught up in a shootout in the Season 2 finale when his house was raided by a SWAT team. Ever since then, viewers have wondered what fate befell his character, especially since the actor died before filming began for Season 3. But now that the show has returned after a years-long hiatus, we finally know what happened to Fezco and shockingly enough, hes still alive. In the Season 3 premiere of Euphoria, which aired on Sunday, his name comes up in conversation between Rue (Zendaya) and Lexi (Maude Apatow) when the former suggests, You know, you really should call Fez. An uncomfortable Lexi responds that she knows she should, but her and Fezs hours just dont line up. Just pick up the phone and call him, Rue says after noting that Fez has stated multiple times he misses Lexi. Its not like hes going anywhere. Hes in prison for 30 years. These small mentions of Clouds Fezco and the fact that hes now in jail in Season 3 are how Euphoria creator Sam Levinson wanted to keep the actors memory alive after telling Variety his death was really hard for us as a production, also stating that he fought hard to keep Cloud clean. Theres a lot of scenes where people are talking to him on the phone, Levinson told the outlet of Fezcos Season 3 arc. I thought, if I couldnt keep him alive in life, then maybe within this show I could keep him alive. The series creator also shared that Cloud would be cracking up at his storyline in the last few episodes of the season, adding, I think he would love it. Meanwhile, fans had somewhat mixed feelings over Fezcos reveal in the season opener. See reaction tweets below.
